The Birth of the Vision to Build a Youth Center
We asked: "Who are the people we are trying to reach for
Jesus?"
We found: 77% of our Lake Stevens population is under the age of 45. 36% of
our population is under the age of 20...
Lake Stevens is a
community
of young families with children!
We looked and saw: We are next door to a 2,100 person High School.
4 blocks from a 1,000 person Middle School.
Within 11 blocks of 1,600 persons in
three Elementary Schools...
We're a few
blocks from 4,700 kids!
We heard: "The Most Amazing Statistic"
95% of the people in America who become Christians do so before the age of
25...
It's children and youth who are most ready to receive Jesus!
Our Vision is born!...
Build a place where children and youth can be reached for Jesus!
Frequently Asked Questions
What ministries will use the Youth Center building?
The Youth Center will be used in as many ways as God opens doors to reach and
disciple people for Jesus.
How can I make a financial gift to this project?
Take time to pray and seek the Lord on how they may
want you to participate in this giving opportunity.
If the Lord leads you to given, simply designated
your gift to the "Building Fund" by either
placing it in the Sunday offering plate or mail to:
Elim Lutheran Church
P.O. Box 318
Lake Stevens, WA 98258
Can I give gifts of stocks or other assets?
Yes. There are great tax savings in this type of giving. Contact Bryan Hoult
who will give you details on how this gift can be given.
Could I give gifts-in-kind such as building materials and
professional labor?
Yes. Contact Ken Hughes if you are able to give materials and professional
labor to this project. We foresee these gifts significantly reducing the amount
of monies needed to be raised.
What is more important, giving to the Youth Center project
or giving my tithe?
The tithe always comes first. This is the first thing we give to God and are
commanded not to take this away from Him.
