Orientation & Class Times

Thursday, September 9th, 2010 @ 7 PM: Orientation Night for parents & staff only. Learn about your role in preschool life, sign-up for parties, pay for live theatre field trip, and meet Pastor Mark. This is the one evening during the year we ask you to leave children at home.

First Days of School: Monday, September 13th for the 4-year-old classes and the 3-year-old PM class. The AM 3-year old classes start on Tuesday, September 14th. AM 4-year-old classes run from 9:30 AM to 12 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, or Monday through Thursday. The PM 4-year-old class runs from 12:30 PM – 3 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. AM 3-year-old classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 12 PM. The PM 3-year-old class runs on Mondays and Wednesday from 12:30 until 3:00 PM. On the first day of class, parents are invited to stay for the first half hour.

Auction Fundraiser

Every year in the spring, usually in March or April, we hold a silent/live auction to benefit the preschool. In order to keep tuition down, while still providing a quality education for your child with a teacher and assistant in each class, we need this extra income to purchase needed supplies throughout the year. Over 90%+ of the income from tuition funds salaries and we believe it is important to retain our good staff.

Depending upon how much the auction makes, we also use some of the funds to purchase special items. Some examples from past years have been our tricycles, play mats, gym equipment, dye cutting machine, room conversions, heating system, AED and audio equipment.

Holding a successful auction requires parental involvement, so we ask each family to donate of minimum of three items. These items can often be procured at no cost from businesses in the community, friends or family. We also appreciate donations of services or even just cash ($150 = 3 items), if that is where your gifts lie!

We have a great time on this evening and you usually can find some real bargains. Each year’s auction committee determines the theme and welcomes new volunteers. We will be giving you a chance to volunteer for the 2010-11 auction at the orientation meeting on Thursday, September 9th @ 7 PM.
